PyroMachina Postponed To Next Year
The organisers of the PyroMachina Interanational Pyrotechnical Arts’ Gala, the Visual Arts Association and the City of Krakow, have decided to postpone this year’s Gala to next summer.
In the face of the looming economic crisis the organisers found it impossible to deliver an event of sufficiently high artistic quality at the originally planned time. This year’s edition of PyroMachina had an ambitious agenda expected to surpass the last year’s event, but the available resources fell short of the target. The organisers continued talking to their financial partners until the very last moment, but in the end they felt that the only correct, although regrettable, decision was to give the Gala a yearly break.
The organisers are already looking into the future and are taking adequate steps to ensure that the next year’s PyroMachina is a truly spectacular event. “Looking back at the 1st edition of the Gala and its great popular appeal we must not let it slip in quality due to financial considerations” – say both organising authorities responsible for the International Pyrotechnical Arts Gala.
We realise how great were the expectations attached to the event and the work on the next year’s edition starts right away.
